Territorial Subdivisions

• 1796-1948

  The borders between Veuren and the surrounding municipalities have been extactly determined in 1824 for Veurne with Oostduinkerke, Wulpen, Veurne and Adinkerke and in 1829 for Oostduinkerke with Lombardsijde, Nieuwpoort, Ramskapelle, Wulpen Veurne and Koksijde

• 1949-now

  In 1949 the hamlet Nieuwpoort-bad (659 inhabitants) was transferred from Oostduinkerkle to Nieuwpoort.

• 1977-now

  Koksijde is composed since 1977 of the following former municipalities (deelgemeenten) or villages:
  • Koksijde
  • Oostduinkerke
    • Wulpen was in 1970 incorporated in Oostduinkerke
  • Sint-Idesbald (hasn't been a municipality)
  • Wulpen
