    Some of those where:

    1584: Spanish army (Farnese) with 2 companies

    1715-1745: Austrian-Dutch garrison

    1745-1748: French garrison

    1748-1782: Austrian-Dutch garrison

    1782-1789: Austrian garrison

    1792: Austrian garrison

    Nov 1792: French garrison

    Mar 1793: Austrian garrison

    1794-1814: French garrison

    1814-1815: ?

    1815-1830: Dutch garrison

    1830: Belgian garrison

    Most authors speak of German troops, beacuse their officers where German (Hannoverian, Austrian, ..), but the troops could also be Walloon, Flemish, ... in fact any nationality.
