Friars Point is located on the banks of the Mississippi River,
and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
"It houses artifacts from prehistoric finds from the Mississippi River sandbar,
prehistoric Indians of the Delta, early Delta artifacts and history, up through
and including World War II. Our Civil War collection at present is not that large,
but our Civil War history is. Civil War occupation and CW naval history
... house used as headquarters still stands."
per Flo. Larson-Redmond, Director on 31Oct1999.
